The Process

Future Leadership™ engaged with key stakeholders to understand the organisation’s technology environment, operational challenges and leadership expectations. This phase included refining selection criteria, validating the position description and clarifying required sector experience.

A national search strategy was deployed across public sector, information security, regulatory and risk‑related environments. The search focused on individuals with a demonstrated record in service excellence, technology transformation and public sector complexity. Networks, databases and targeted referrals were used to identify candidates exhibiting the desired future‑focused leadership attributes.

Over 200 interested candidates were identified. Candidates were assessed not only on technical ICT competence but also on leadership behaviours such as risk balance, innovation mindset, team development capability and digital literacy. Internal and external candidates were evaluated on equal merit.

Through structured interviews, validation checks and panel engagement, the process identified the candidate best equipped to reduce technology debt, modernise systems and strengthen cross‑organisation collaboration.
