The Brief

A major emergency medical services provider in Australia sought a partner to support the recruitment and onboarding of a division of leaders and professionals tasked with driving organisational change.

This involved the creation of a new DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) department comprising over 20 employees. The organisation aimed to supplement their selection process with objectivity and rigour, using evidence-based psychometric assessment tools to assess culture fit, and to ensure effective onboarding that would build trust and understanding among the new team members.

The Process

Future Leadership worked closely with the client to design and implement a tailored solution that adhered to best practice selection assessment principles. This process involved:

  • Customising assessment tools: Distilling an extensive library of psychometric assessment tools into simple, effective options that accounted for existing tools in the client’s organisational ecosystem, as well as the implications of multiculturalism, special needs, inclusion, and diversity in assessment.
  • Identifying resilient leaders: Ensuring the selected leaders could withstand and respond constructively to pressure and challenge.
  • Multi-purpose assessments: Using the assessments to inform interview and reference-check questions, as well as facilitating onboarding and team-building workshops.

Over six months, Future Leadership assessed and onboarded more than 20 leaders and professionals, delivering individualised reports, debriefs, and a full-day onboarding workshop. This partnership continues, with ongoing assessments, onboarding, and coaching for further C-suite and Director positions.
