The Process
Our research for this key position included outreach to our existing networks and detailed mapping of academic leaders in the business discipline in Australia and New Zealand.

Bringing over 30 years’ leadership experience in national and international education, a senior educational leader was appointed to this important position.
The Matthew Flinders Distinguished Emeritus Professor in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, his academic background is as a geographer and he has previously held multiple leadership roles at Flinders University. Additionally, he brings extensive experience in leading professional and membership organisations and is a current director of an accreditation Board and a health care insurance board too. More than a decade ago, he also received the Prime Minister’s award for Australian University Teacher of the Year and has subsequently accepted numerous significant Australian and international awards and fellowships for contributions to higher education, geography, and professional service.
