Connecting individuals and communities to realise an inclusive society.

Disability and Aged Care - Health Industry

The Brief

Future Leadership established a trusted partnership with a disability and home care health provider. After initially partnering with the Board in 2020 to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer, Future Leadership continued the partnership in 2021 to place a Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The organisation, headquartered in Melbourne, had grown steadily across the eastern seaboard of Australia and was well-positioned for further expansion. To support this growth, the COO role was created, requiring a seasoned operational leader with a proven track record of continuous improvement in service delivery within consumer-directed care environments.

The Process

The search was led by Future Leadership consultants, who approached senior leaders in disability, aged care, and home care organisations across Australia.

This targeted approach was supported by online advertising. It was essential for the new COO to be driven, ambitious, ethical, and genuinely passionate about working in human rights, inclusion, and empowerment. The selection process involved robust screening and assessments to ensure the right cultural fit.
