Dr. Mya Cubitt has been appointed to the position of National Medical Director, Care Governance and Risk with Silverchain

Dr. Mya Cubitt has been appointed to the position of National Medical Director, Care Governance and Risk with Silverchain and will commence on 1 September 2025. In this position, Mya will provide contemporary leadership and medical governance advice across the group to support the achievement of the current strategy (Strategy 2030). As National Medical Director, Mya will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as a strategic advisor and ensure effective clarity of focus on clinical quality and safety, informing policies and procedures for the delivery of high quality, safe and sustainable health and aged care services.

Mya is a senior emergency physician, academic, and strategic health leader, known for clear communication, integrity, and collaborative leadership. She brings diverse clinical experience and policy insight to drive health system reform and combines frontline expertise in public, private, community and aged care settings with, research and health leadership experience.

Mya will join Silverchain in September after finishing up as an RMH@Home Physician at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she will continue in a smaller part-time role as an Emergency Physician.
