Ms Metani Rooms was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of BioCurate and commenced in August 2024. In this position she will provide strategic leadership and high-level operational expertise, supporting the implementation of the newly developed strategic plan. In working closely with the CEO, Senior Executives and Board, she will lead the change management required to engage and support the organisation as it navigates this dynamic and ambitious journey and provide high level oversight of the core functional areas.

Metani is a seasoned biopharmaceutical leader with extensive experience managing global and local matrix teams and overseeing major projects. With a background in law and strong business acumen, Metani excels in deal structuring, negotiation, budget oversight, strategic planning and brings significant experience including governance, contract management, HR, business improvement, and leadership in multi-functional operating environments in both global and start up organisations.

In her 15 year career with CSL, Metani held a variety of leadership and operational roles, including leading Global Sourcing and Procurement where she led a global team of sourcing and procurement professionals which supported goods and services supply for all areas of CSL’s business units from R&D to Commercial Operations. More recently, Metani lead the establishment of the Jumar Bioincubator with responsibility for negotiating the funding arrangements with Breakthrough Victoria and the Jumar founding partners (CSL, WEHI and UoM), establishing the organisation, and setting up operations.
