Ms. Shannon Wight has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of West Gippsland Healthcare Group

Ms. Shannon Wight has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of West Gippsland Healthcare Group, a position she has been seconded to since January 2025. As the second largest health service within the Gippsland Health Service Partnership, Shannon will be responsible for driving regional collaboration, providing visionary leadership to improve health outcomes within the catchment and the communities within the broader Gippsland region.

With over 25 years of experience in Victorian Public Health, including the last six years as an Executive Director, Shannon brings a wealth of experience in leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence in healthcare. Her tenure as interim CEO at West Gippsland Healthcare Group has further honed her abilities, strengthening her capacity to drive meaningful improvements and immediate impact.

Before joining West Gippsland Healthcare Group, Shannon held the position of Executive Director Clinical Operations with Eastern Health. Before that, she was seconded to the position of Executive Director COVID Positive Pathways Program, Health Service Operations, Commissioning and System Improvement with the Department of Health.
