Ms. Sue Fitzpatrick has been appointed as Chief Allied Health Officer with ACT Health and commenced in April 2024. In this position, Sue will be responsible for the provision of professional and strategic leadership, innovation and governance for allied health professions at all levels in the ACT health system. She will also oversee and report into the CEO in relation to the Directorate’s Workforce Strategy, including the First National workforce, in supporting the provision of the Health Workforce Taskforce.

Sue is an Allied Health executive who brings over 16 years of experience gained in Speech Pathology and Multidisciplinary leadership positions. With a track record of influential leadership, Sue has had operational oversight of more than 600 clinicians and led strategic workforce planning across the directorate. With a passion for strategic planning and innovation, Sue has a proven track record in the development and implementation of new ways of working both within and outside allied health.

Since 2015, Sue held the position of Executive Director Allied Health & Disability with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Before that she was Allied Health Coordinator and earlier Speech Pathology Head of Discipline.
