The Position

The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) seeks to appoint a talented leader to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO of RACDS is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of the College.

Reporting into the Board, the CEO will lead the organisation in fulfilling its mission to promote excellence in dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial training through education, training, and professional development. You will play a crucial role in overseeing risk and governance management, ensuring sustainable practices, and providing strategic advice to the President, Board, and College Regional Committees.

Presenting with exemplary interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate will be a highly experienced leader who has the proven ability to advocate diplomatically, build effective partnerships, and foster a collaborative culture within a structurally complex organisation. You will bring demonstrated experience as a CEO or COO within health, education, not-for-profit, membership-based organisations or peak bodies. The Organisation

RACDS is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation comprising of over 3,000 dentists and surgeons from Australasia and beyond. RACDS purpose is to provide a community for exceptional dentists to gain access to ongoing development of their clinical skills, forge a supportive network of peers, mentors and mentees, and to promote the improvement of oral health in the community.

RACDS education programs provide world standard, evidence-based education, training, examination and assessment, and achieving Fellowship or Membership status can distinguish you as an exceptionally skilled practitioner within your community.
