The Position
Guided by a vision of ‘Care without compromise’, Mayflower is a respected, person-centred aged care organisation that has made a positive difference to the lives of older people across Victoria for more than 60 years. As the organisation responds to sector reform, it seeks to become an aged care organisation that is unequivocally client-lead. To support this transformation, Mayflower is seeking to appoint a confident, influential and collaborative leader to be its new Executive General Manager Quality & Safety.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal position will be a member of the Mayflower Leadership team and will contribute across the entire business. This role will lead the organisation-wide quality, safety and risk agenda, ensuring systems, culture and capability are aligned to regulatory reform and exceptional care outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a values-led, systems thinker who has a record of achievement in leading quality, compliance and/or risk functions within complex service delivery environments, ideally in aged care, with experience in health, disability or community services environments also highly regarded.
You will bring demonstrated experience in implementing and managing enterprise-wide quality and risk systems, frameworks, strong governance audit and regulatory capability within the Australian health and human services sector or in a comparable jurisdiction. Possessing exceptional communication skills, you will be recognised as an influential, confident, collaborative and courageous leader. Operating with clarity, humility and a natural coaching style, you will have the ability and inclination to champion implementation of a quality model that goes beyond serving clients to being guided by clients.
Registration as a health practitioner and/or postgraduate qualification in quality/safety/risk/health management will be highly regarded.
