  • Contribute to enterprise strategy, performance and culture as a member of the ELT.
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on financial stability, technology, governance and operational capability.
  • Lead financial stewardship of the organisation including budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting and financial performance.

 

The Position

The General Manager, Finance and Corporate Services is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for providing strategic leadership across the Association’s corporate, financial and enabling functions.

Reporting to the CEO, the role ensures the APA is supported by strong financial stewardship, effective governance and contemporary operating systems that enable the organisation to deliver on its strategic priorities in a sustainable way.

This role plays a critical enterprise‑wide enabling function, leading the evolution of APA’s corporate structures, financial model and digital capability. With a strong focus on modernisation, the General Manager will drive significant transformation initiatives, including CRM renewal, uplift in financial data and analytics, process automation, responsible AI integration, and the ongoing strengthening of cyber security and business resilience.

To be successful, you will be CA or CPA qualified and bring a proven record of executive leadership within a service‑oriented environment. You will demonstrate an enterprise mindset, balancing strategic oversight with operational excellence, and a strong commitment to placing customers and end users at the centre of organisational design and delivery.
