The Position
The Manager Information Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning and delivery of Council’s information technology, digital and data services. Reporting to the Director Corporate Performance and operating as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role provides strategic direction for enterprise technology, digital transformation and organisational change.
The position leads the development and implementation of Council’s Digital Transformation Strategy, ensuring technology enables organisational objectives, improves service delivery and enhances both customer and employee experience. This includes driving the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, overseeing enterprise architecture, and ensuring systems are fit‑for‑purpose now and into the future.
The Manager Information Services has accountability for cybersecurity and information security, including compliance with the Essential 8 framework and the ongoing uplift of cyber maturity across all systems. The role also oversees IT operations, risk management, disaster recovery, governance frameworks and vendor relationships, while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable business‑as‑usual services alongside significant transformation initiatives.
