The Position
Southern Cross Grammar (SCG) seeks to appoint an exceptional educator and inspirational leader to the position of Principal. The school is in a strong position and the incoming Principal will solidify this position and take the school leaders and educational outcomes to the next level while embracing an individual approach to learning.
Reporting to the Board, the Principal will provide innovative, strategic leadership and effective management to support the school in meeting its strategic goals while developing an exemplary, future-focused centre of learning for children from Foundation through to Year 12. The Principal will resonate with the vibrant, passionate SCG community of students, parents, and educators. The ideal candidate will forge the next chapter of the school’s history, balancing solid educational outcomes for students with sustained growth and development of programs, and engagement and retention of staff.
Equipped with an outstanding record of educational leadership, the ideal candidate will have a history of and passion for excellence and innovation in teaching, including a strong commitment to continuous improvement across all areas of the School. The appointee will likely be an experienced Principal with strong senior school experience with a strong focus on teaching and learning. Presenting with a strategic and progressive mindset and displaying high emotional intelligence and outstanding interpersonal skills, the appointee will have a supportive and collaborative style that nurtures, challenges and inspires students and the broader school community.
