The Position
Maverick Bio is seeking to appoint a highly experienced, collaborative and inspirational Quality Manager to lead the quality portfolio. At a time of significant transformation, with investment in the expansion of clean room capacity and the commissioning of new equipment to support the transfer of R&D to manufacturing and new product launch, the Quality Manager will play a critical role in supporting this change.
The Quality Manager will ensure the highest quality standards across operations, safeguarding compliance with international regulations, and driving continuous improvement. Leading a dedicated team during a time of transformation and high growth, the Quality Manager will have the freedom to drive innovation, quality improvements, maintain regulatory excellence and deliver impact with products that touch lives across the globe.
Reporting to the Head of Products and Quality, the Quality Manager will champion the portfolio, be a trusted voice and bring curiosity and innovation, ensuring quality is seen as a strategic enabler of the business.
The successful candidate will:
- be an experienced senior quality leader, gained within highly regulated manufacturing environments, ideally in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biosciences or life sciences supply chain.
- lead the development of a high‑performing team through coaching and mentoring
- be adept at driving organisation‑wide quality transformation
- have deep knowledge of ISO, GMP and relevant regulatory frameworks (TGA, FDA, EU)
- have effective communication skills, with the ability to lead audits, engage with regulatory bodies, and influence stakeholders.
- have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leading quality investigations and improvements.
- hold a Bachelor Degree in science, engineering or related will be essential, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
