The Position
Southern Adelaide Health Network (SALHN) seeks to appoint a strategic and collaborative senior executive to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ensuring the continued delivery of a comprehensive and sustainable health service, enhancing the well-being of individuals, families and communities.
Reporting to the SALHN Governing Board Chair, the CEO will lead the delivery of the network’s Strategic Plan 2023-2027, which has been shaped by key drivers at a national and local level. The CEO will drive a culture that is collegiate and accountable and where the patient is at the centre of all decisions. With significant infrastructure projects and the future of health care delivery well underway, the CEO will be future focused, innovative, and visionary.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional, contemporary CEO with proven experience in driving strategic and operational excellence across a major health service. Regarded as a highly ethical leader and with demonstrated experience influencing sustainable growth and service quality within the health sector, The CEO will lead the improvement of patient experience, clinical quality, research, and patient safety, whilst ensuring financial sustainability. The successful candidate will demonstrate the gravitas and political nous necessary to achieve positive outcomes and will win the hearts and minds across the health service, government, and community. Key attributes contributing to the success of this role will be a strong strategic mindset, exceptional communication and influencing skills, energy, and commitment.

The South Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) provides care for more than 370,000 people living in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide as well as providing a number of statewide services, and services to those in regional areas. More than 9,200 skilled staff provide high quality patient care, education, research and health promoting services. SALHN provides a range of acute and sub-acute health services for people of all ages.
