Mr. Doug McCaskie has been appointed as Executive Director Ambulatory Services & Chief Allied Health Officer with The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) and will commence in July 2024. In this position, Doug will provide professional leadership, direction and strategic policy for the entire Allied Health workforce. He will build and articulate a vision of best health care and allied health services for RCH.

Doug presents with more than 18 years of clinical, operational and leadership experience across private, public, government, community and aged care sectors and is passionate about building and extending the capability of individuals and teams. With a breadth of success in clinical service redesign, service improvement and practical application of funding models to embed sustainable and efficient clinical service, Doug has a reputation for integrating and developing teams, systems and businesses to address complex challenges that face stakeholders, consumers and the community.

Most recently employed by Alfred Health, Doug has held the positions of Chief Allied Health Officer & Director Allied Health and before that, Deputy Director Allied Health (acute programs).
