Ms. Sophie Dixon has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Royal Women’s Hospital (The Women’s) and commenced in June 2024. In this position, Sophie will be responsible for the leadership of strategic and operational financial management across the Women’s to ensure the hospital’s financial health and sustainability. She will provide strategic advice and options to support informed decision making and organisation strategy concerning the financial implications of, and risks associated with, current and projected services and assets, and the future financial sustainability of the Women’s.

As a trusted and experienced finance and corporate services leader, with over 30 years of experience gained in complex environments funded by both public and private sectors, Sophie has significant experience at an executive level. She brings a strong commercial and financial background and the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities with a customer lens. Sophie is a thought-based leader who thrives in fast paced, heavily regulated, multiple stakeholder environments.

Before joining The Women’s, Sophie was Executive General Manager (EGM) – Therapeutics with Aruma Disability Services. She previously held the positions CFO of Austin Health and Deputy CFO at Metro Trains.
