A local government organisation engaged Future Leadership to design and facilitate the NEXUS Leadership Development Program, aimed at expand the capabilities of their Senior Leadership Team

The Process

Future Leadership Advisory partnered with the local government organisation to deliver the Nexus program; a 10 month long Senior Leader’s program. It was built around three key leadership area of Leading self, Leading others and Leading the Organisation and provides a blended approach to learning. 

The program consists of the following topics:

  • Leading Self
  • Executive Mindsets for Future Ready Transformation
  • Enterprise Leadership
  • Building the Skills to be an Enterprise Leader
  • Adaptive Leadership Strategies for Exponential Change
  • Collaborating with Solidarity

The program covered a range of key leadership skills, enabling effective leaders across the the organisation. The topics were delivered in depth across a hybrid format, with in-person workshops and online coaching sessions.

The Outcome

Future Leadership Advisory delivered the Nexus Leadership Development Program with a focus on Leadership and Development across various levels and aspects.

Participants reported the following

  • 28% + increase in Self-Awareness
  • 23% + increase in Motivation to Develop
  • 33% + increase in Confidence ​
  • 41% + increase in Understanding of Leadership ​

All skills measured pre-program, and post-program increased from an average of ‘Competent’ to a greater proportion of participants reporting themselves as ‘Highly Skilled’ with the largest shifts occurring across understanding complex systems and enterprise leadership.
