We are pleased to announce the appointment of James Collins as Chief Executive Officer of Cardinia Shire Council, effective October 2025.
James brings over 18 years of local government experience, including eight years in executive roles across infrastructure, planning, and community portfolios. His leadership at the City of Casey and Yarra Ranges Council has been marked by ability to empower teams, drive financial sustainability, and a strong commitment to developing leaders. James is recognised for his authentic leadership style, common sense approach, and ability to foster collaborative relationships with Councillors, government agencies, and diverse communities.
As CEO, James will work closely with elected Councillors to deliver on the Council’s vision for a sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive community.
