Date Posted:10 December 2025

The Brief

Future Leadership™ was engaged to appoint the next Principal for the College. This appointment represented a pivotal moment as the school entered a significant phase of growth, expanding its footprint and reinforcing its reputation for academic excellence and Islamic values. The successful candidate was expected to lead the College through a transformative period, ensuring continuity of its ethos while introducing innovative practices and driving continuous improvement across multiple campuses. This leadership role was critical in shaping the strategic direction of the College, fostering a culture of collaboration, and positioning the school as a benchmark for holistic education within a faith-based environment.

The Process

The Principal role was defined as both Chief Executive and educational leader, reporting directly to the Board and overseeing the implementation of policies, regulations, and operational programs. Supported by a leadership team—including three Assistant Principals (Faith, Wellbeing, Teaching & Learning), a Primary Coordinator, and a Business Manager—the Principal was expected to guide the College in delivering high-quality education within a safe Islamic environment. This position offered a unique opportunity to shape the future of the College, enhance its holistic education model, and build future capabilities for students.

To deliver this appointment, Future Leadership™ undertook a comprehensive executive search process. This included conducting an in-depth briefing with the Governing Board to clarify strategic priorities and leadership expectations, developing a detailed candidate profile aligned to the College’s Islamic ethos and growth objectives, and mapping the talent market to identify high-caliber leaders in faith-based education. Future Leadership™ leveraged its networks and research capability to approach prospective candidates, managed a rigorous assessment process including competency-based interviews and cultural alignment evaluations, and provided the Board with a shortlist of exceptional candidates. Throughout the process, Future Leadership™ ensured transparency, stakeholder engagement, and a strong focus on securing a Principal who could lead the College into its next phase of growth while maintaining its values and commitment to academic excellence.

The Outcome

The appointed Principal is a visionary and highly accomplished educational leader with an unwavering commitment to faith-based education, operational excellence, and strategic growth. Bringing over three decades of experience across Australia and the Middle East, they have successfully guided diverse school communities through transformation, expansion, and systemic improvement. A Harvard Graduate School of Education alumnus, they have mentored emerging leaders globally and championed high-performing professional cultures. Their leadership portfolio includes establishing new schools, overseeing multi-campus governance, and managing large-scale budgets, all while embedding Islamic values within international education frameworks. With deep cultural insight, proven business acumen, and a track record of innovation, this leader is uniquely positioned to steer the College into its next chapter—driving academic excellence, fostering community engagement, and ensuring sustainable growth for future generations.
