Indigenous communities of Australia

The Brief

Future Leadership™ partnered with an independent advocacy body focused on the wellbeing and support of a specific demographic within indigenous communities.

This critical leadership and advocacy role required extensive engagement with communities, providing independent advice to Ministers, government departments and other relevant stakeholders. The CEO would need experience at executive level to be able to work constructively with the dynamics inherent in developing a new organization and proven capability to strategically shape and sustain its direction, culture, services and good governance while advancing public policy and championing the needs of the community. Leadership in a public policy context was a critical element as was knowledge and experience working in these communities and organisations governed by these communities.
