The Brief

The Director of Customer and Strategy at a local government council connected with Future Leadership’s Interim Executive to assist in an urgent need for an Interim CIO.

The organisation was going through a challenging period of transition and was looking for someone to lead the team and the Council’s IT operations during this time as well as to continue the reform agenda and pick up the existing large scale technology implementation program.

The Process

With tight timelines in place, the Interim Executive team screened our extensive data base and shortlisted three candidates that could be a good fit for the role.  Interviews were scheduled within the week and a high calibre candidate was identified as the Interim Chief Information Officer.

She brings over 20 years of leadership experience across local and global organisations in public, private and NFP.  She is a strategic and performance focused executive leader specialising in digital and information technology, business systems and service transformations, optimisation and program management.

The Outcome

The successful commenced in the role within three weeks of the Interim Executive team receiving the brief.  She completed a speedy handover with the incumbent and took over the reigns in no time.

She was also further extended from the initial engagement period of 3 months to complete additional projects before the permanent CIO position was filled.  The client’s overall feedback was outstanding.
