Anna Philips appointed to the position of Chief People Officer at Glen Eira City Council

Future Leadership is delighted to announce the appointment of Anna Phillips to the position of Chief People Officer at Glen Eira City Council effective August 2025.

Anna brings a wealth of experience across the public health, higher education, professional services, and technology sectors, having held senior leadership roles at Monash University, Australian Catholic University, Austin Health, University of Melbourne, IBM, PwC, and ANZ. Her career is distinguished by her ability to lead complex organisational change, drive cultural transformation, and deliver innovative people strategies that align with business and community outcomes. Anna’s values-based leadership and collaborative style have earned her recognition across the sector, including the inaugural AHEIA Leadership Excellence Award.

In her new role, Anna will join Glen Eira’s executive team to help shape a sustainable, safe, and healthy future for the community. She will lead the Council’s people and culture strategy, ensuring it remains an employer of choice and continues to foster a high-performing, inclusive workplace. Her appointment reflects Glen Eira’s commitment to excellence in leadership and its vision for a vibrant, forward-thinking organisation.
