Cecilia Riebl and Jeremy Cheesman have been appointed as the Board Directors for the Natural Resources Conservation Trust (NRCT). The NRCT was established by the Natural Resources Conservation League (NRCL) in 2019 and provided a significant corpus that enabled NRCT to commence grant making in 2023. This exciting philanthropic organisation aims to be a significant partner, supporting and building the capacity of community based conservation, landcare and natural resource management networks. NRCL and NRCT work closely together, guided by separate Boards.
Cecilia brings relevant land conservation policy and legal expertise along with great skills in strategy and environmental markets. Cecilia has recently joined the Australian Land Conservation alliance (ALCA) to lead the development of a permanent protection methodology under the Nature Repair Market in partnership with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water.
