Ms. Lisa Lynch appointed as Chief Executive Officer with the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine

Ms. Lisa Lynch was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer with the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) and commenced on 2 March 2026. In this position, Lisa now leads the organisation at a pivotal time to achieve its statutory and strategic objectives, prioritising people, embracing change, compliance, risk management, governance, and financial stewardship.

Lisa brings to the VIFM over two decades of executive leadership experience in public health, with a strong focus on transformation, innovation and stakeholder engagement. As a clinician at heart, Lisa leads with passion, empathy, clarity, and consistency to achieve effective clinical services, safe outcomes and exceptional experiences. Her leadership is informed by a strong ethical foundation, and a collaborative style that fosters high-performing teams and enduring partnerships.

Lisa was previously Chief Operating Officer at The Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne, a role she had held since 2019 and where she led significant organisational change and operational excellence.
