Ms Carmel Norton has been appointed to the position of Chief Operations and Finance Officer at Queenwood

Ms Carmel Norton has been appointed to the position of Chief Operations and Finance Officer at Queenwood and commenced in November 2024. Reporting directly to the Principal, Carmel will provide high-level leadership of the School’s commercial activities, financial management, investments, contracts, technology, facilities and capital works in line with the strategic plan.

Carmel is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years experience in commercial leadership across the for profit and not for profit sectors, holds an MBA specialising in educational business leadership and a graduate diploma in Educational Studies.

Most recently the Chief Financial Officer at NSIT International School (an international Baccalaureate school in Bangkok Thailand), Carmel believes in the transformative power of education and the value business professionals can bring to schools to improve student learning.
