Ms Toni Shearing was appointed to the position of Executive Director Aboriginal Health with Northern Adelaide Local Health Network and commenced in January 2025. In this position, Toni is responsible for providing leadership and strategic advice on Aboriginal health issues across the NALHN. Additionally, in this position, she is responsible for ensuring clinical services within NALHN receive the advice, support and direction they need in order to deliver effective and culturally acceptable services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Toni is a proud Narungga and Kokatha Aboriginal woman and has worked in Aboriginal Health for 12 years, gaining extensive experience in Aboriginal health strategic and operational planning aligned to the National Key Performance Indicators for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. Toni is also passionate about the use of data and evidenced based practice coupled with community co-design to guide decision-making and evaluation.
