Ms. Vicky Peters has been appointed as Board Director with BreastScreen Victoria

Ms. Vicky Peters, a proud Dja Dja Wurrung and Yorta Yorta woman, has been appointed as the first, First Nations Director to the Board of Directors of BreastScreen Victoria, effective 1 February 2025.

Vicky is a seasoned leader with extensive experience across health, higher education, and Indigenous services. She is deeply committed to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for her people.  With a strong background in higher education, allied health, and rural practice, Vicky is known for her ability to design and lead impactful programs and teams that create lasting change.

Most recently, as the Director of Indigenous Engagement at Swinburne University, Vicky played a pivotal role in developing initiatives that focused on, Indigenous employment, philanthropy, and procurement. She has earned a reputation as a trusted mentor and strategic advisor, with a proven track record in Indigenous student recruitment, policy development, and service coordination within both the education and health sectors. Vicky Peters was also a recipient of the Jo Fisher Future Board Scholarship 2024, which aims to bring diversity into boardrooms.
