Mr Shane Matthews was appointed as General Counsel of Ochre Health and commenced on 9 March 2026. In this position, Shane contributes to enterprises strategy and operations on legal, corporate governance and regulatory matters, enabling the delivery of safe, ethical and sustainable health care to communities across Australia.
Shane brings with him 15+ years of experience leading legal, risk, governance, and compliance functions that enable growth, drive organisational governance and operational efficiency and safeguard reputation. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs, Boards and executives with a proven track record building agile, high-performing teams, standardising operations, consistently aligning legal strategy with business outcomes.
Shanes previously held roles include Group General Counsel & Company Secretary at VetPartners, General Counsel, Company Secretary & Head of Compliance (Asia Pacific) at Kaplan and Deputy General Counsel at UNSW.
