Appointed: Shelly Park
Position: Vice President, Board
Organisation: National Stroke Foundation
We are delighted to announce that Shelly Park has been appointed as the Vice President of the National Stroke Foundation board.
Shelly takes the role from Mr Chris Nunn, who served a three-year term as Vice President and six years on the board. With more than 25 years’ experience in CEO and senior executive roles and governing complex organisations, Ms Park said she was delighted to be granted the opportunity to serve as Stroke Foundation’s Vice President.
“I’m looking forward to joining the Stroke Foundation board and supporting the organisation in its work to prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery,” Shelly said. “As the health system faces increasing challenges and demands, now is a critical time for organisations like Stroke Foundation to lead national conversations and drive improvements to stroke care and needs.”
Shelly currently serves as the Chair of Ambulance Victoria’s Board of Directors and is a Director of St John God of Health Care. She has previously served on the Australian Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTA) Advisory Board, Defence Health Board, Australian Commission in Safety and Quality in Healthcare, and she was the Director and CEO of Australian Red Cross Lifeblood from 2016 to 2022 and Chief Executive Officer of Monash Health from 2007 to 2016.
