We are delighted to announce the appointment of Robert Samuel as the Chief Executive Officer at Shalom College and Collective.
Robert brings experience and deep expertise to this role, having advised a wide range of for-purpose and faith-based organisations across higher education, aged care, education, community services and international trade. With a strong track record in strategy development and execution, he has worked at the intersection of governance, technology, and social impact—skills essential to guiding the Shalom.
A former equity partner in a national professional services firm and a current member of the Australian Information Industry Association Domestic Policy and Leadership Team, Robert has consistently demonstrated an ability to work with diverse teams to solve complex challenges. His leadership as an elected Willoughby City Councillor and committee or Board member of a number of community organisations speaks to his capacity to build strong and resilient communities, stakeholder management and his governance excellence.
Robert builds inclusive cultures grounded in safety, clarity, and purpose. He brings a clear focus on ensuring quality programs, strong community engagement, and responsible oversight across all aspects of Shalom’s work—from residential operations and education to interfaith and intercultural programming. His ability to foster meaningful partnerships within and well beyond the Jewish community will be an invaluable asset in continuing Shalom’s mission of learning, leadership and connection.
