
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Kelly as Deputy Principal / Head of Senior School at Ruyton Girls’ School. Kate is commencing her role as the Deputy Principal / Head of Senior School in June 2025.
Kate is an experienced and passionate educational leader with over two decades of service in the sector, including 18 years teaching and leading in all-girls’ educational environments. She brings to Ruyton a deep understanding of the psychological, emotional, and academic development of girls and young women, alongside a strong commitment to student voice, agency, and holistic wellbeing. With extensive experience at the executive level, Kate has consistently demonstrated a strategic and values-driven leadership approach, fostering cultures of care, integrity, and excellence within school communities. She is committed to delivering Ruyton’s strategic intent – Fearless Pursuit – with authenticity and purpose.
Kate’s personal and professional connection to the Boroondara educational landscape, combined with her advocacy for gender equity and leadership development in young women, makes her uniquely positioned for this role. She has designed and implemented leadership programs that continue to empower students today and brings to Ruyton a deep belief in the enduring relevance and transformative power of girls’ education. We are thrilled for Kate and look forward to hearing more about the transformative impact she will make to Girls’ Education at Ruyton.
