The Position
The person-centred aged care organisation, Mayflower, seeks to appoint a strategic, innovative and inspiring Chief Executive Officer who is driven by the challenge of growing and optimising service offerings amid a period of regulatory reform. The Chief Executive Officer will help position the organisation as a leader in aged care excellence, while maintaining the warmth, personal connection and community spirit that are central to the organisation’s identity.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead, manage and build the organisation’s capability and capacity to deliver excellent, relationship-based, responsive and innovative services, aligned with the Mayflower philosophy and strategic direction. Key elements of the role include proactively identifying, assessing and driving growth opportunities, overseeing a significant redevelopment project, contributing to a new strategic plan, and managing diverse business functions whilst ensuring commercial viability and success.
The successful candidate will possess senior leadership experience and strong financial acumen gained in a regulated environment of considerable size and will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with Regulators. Experience gained within aged care is preferred, but experience in broader human services environments, such as healthcare, may also be considered. The appointee will demonstrate a record of identifying, assessing and driving mergers and acquisitions as well as progressing major capital projects.
