The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity to drive whole of organisation success in a culture driven Water Corporation that provides trusted water services for its diverse communities and for future generations.

As a pivotal and influential member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) drives success across a range of enterprise enabling functions that support strategic development and delivers exceptional outcomes for customers, communities, and shareholders.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the COO is responsible for the following service functions: Enterprise Financial Planning, Finance Management, Procurement Management, Information & Technology Management, Legal Management and Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Governance.

The COO role is central to achieving operational efficiencies, process improvements and implementation of innovative improvements that deliver ‘value–adds’ to internal and external customers.

Success in this role requires an accomplished executive with a standout track record leading a multi-disciplinary team in a medium to large organisation along with strong commercial and business partnering experience.

Key focus areas include robust financial management. mission critical technology focus and effective capital project delivery. This will be undertaken with the support of an established and highly professional committed team.

You will be motivated to lead large-scale change across people, process and systems resulting in impactful business improvement. Your strategic and operational leadership will be underpinned by you championing integrity, strong governance and demonstrated care and inspiration for the people in the organisation.

Knowledge of/previous experience in regulated sectors or the public sector is highly desirable.
