  • Impactful community organisation in Melbourne’s north
  • Strong emphasis on people, culture and leadership capability
  • New people strategy to be developed in 2026/27

The Position

DPV Health is one of Victoria’s largest community health organisations. It is a high performing, award-winning provider that places strong emphasis on people, culture and leadership capability as critical enablers of its strategy and service delivery. The organisation seeks to appoint a talented Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) to further strengthen and advance its people and culture agenda.

Reporting to the CEO and forming part of the C-Suite, the CPCO will lead a stable, experienced People & Culture team of seven and play a central role in sustaining high engagement, strengthening leadership capability and shaping workforce strategy as the organisation enters its next strategic planning cycle. With strong foundations already in place, this is an opportunity to build on what is working, driving continuous improvement across key areas including workforce engagement, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, emergency management, organisational development, retention and leadership development, while supporting leaders through ongoing growth and change.

The successful candidate will be a senior people leader who is emotionally intelligent and pragmatic, a confident generalist with depth across industrial relations, OHS, organisational development and employee engagement. Equipped with the credibility to engage effectively with the Executive and the Board, the incumbent will have the confidence to make, or escalate, difficult decisions when required, and the capability to translate complexity into clear, high-quality advice and reporting. Experience in healthcare or a similarly complex, government-funded environment will be highly regarded. Above all, this CPCO will be a collaborative, approachable and principled leader – someone who is committed to strengthening leadership capability and nurturing a high-performing, inclusive and values-led culture.
