  • Engage in thought leadership, policy conversations, and collaborative reform efforts that improve the justice system.
  • Realise an opportunity for growth beyond the current presence in Victoria and Queensland.

The Position

The Executive Director (CEO) of Court Network is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational excellence, and values-driven oversight to ensure the organisation achieves its purpose. Reporting to the Board and working closely with a skilled team and invaluable group of volunteers, the Executive Director enables Court Network’s short and long-term impact, dividing it’s time between community engagement, operational effectiveness, volunteer stewardship and financial management.  Acting as the public face of the organisation the Executive Director builds and advances trusted relationships with various stakeholders including the Government, the Judiciary and court administrators to influence justice sector outcomes through effective partnerships, innovation, and thought leadership.

To be successful you will have a strong record of achievement as a senior executive leader in the NFP sector, ideally working with volunteers and overseeing program delivery. Understanding of the justice sector will be highly regarded, however intersectional community services experience is also welcome.

This role is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to lead an impactful social justice organisation.  Flexible working arrangements and salary packaging is available.

The Organisation

Court Network is a frontline community organisation that supports people to access the court system.  Court Network volunteers provide non-legal information and support to stand beside and empower Court Users before and during court.  The role of the organisation is to empower and increase the confidence of court users to manage the requirements of the courts.

Established in 1980, the organisation operates on a state-wide basis providing court-based non-legal support, information, and referrals to members of the community in both the criminal and civil courts.

Court Network also provides a telephone and online service to court users. The service is delivered by highly trained volunteer Networkers across Victoria and Queensland who provide support on a non-judgmental and confidential basis.
