ERH seeks to appoint a visionary and dynamic Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery to join the executive leadership team. This critical role will oversee the nursing and midwifery portfolio, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care across the organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director will provide expert leadership in clinical governance and operational delivery. The incumbent will lead the development of the nursing workforce, ensuring patient safety, experience and outcomes whilst also considering the future service needs for this growing region. The Executive Director’s portfolio will include residential aged care, cancer and wellness, quality risk and innovation and leadership of access and demand initiatives, including within emergency department and surgical services.
The role will be instrumental in shaping service delivery through innovation, a culture of continuous improvement, and the advancement of models of care and organisational capability. As a visible and contemporary leader, the Executive Director will foster a high-performance culture, mentor and develop clinical talent, and build on ERH’s strong reputation for clinical excellence.
The successful Executive Director will bring extensive experience as a senior clinical leader and a proven track record of driving operational and clinical excellence. A collaborative and engaging leadership style, the incumbent will have the ability to build trusted relationships and influence diverse stakeholder groups. With a contemporary approach to leadership, the Executive Director will be committed to the development and empowerment of the nursing and midwifery workforce. Current practising registration as registered nurse with AHPRA and post graduate qualifications will be essential. Midwifery qualifications or experience leading a midwifery team will be highly desirable.

Echuca Regional Health (ERH) provides services on Yorta Yorta Country for people who live, work and play in Northern Victoria and Southern New South Wales. ERH is located within the regional town of Echuca where the Murray (Dhungala), Campaspe (Yakoa) and Goulburn (Gaiyila) rivers meet. The community is described as vibrant, prosperous and growing and has a population of 52,000 people living on both sides of the state border.
Since 1882, ERH has been a provider of health and social services, as well as health education and training. Services are provided across the lifespan and include community services, population health, acute, sub-acute and residential aged care.
The health service employees approximately 1000 staff and is a sub-regional health service.
