The Council is entering a period of transformation, driven by rapid population growth and shifting community needs. As part of this evolution, the Infrastructure Services directorate is building a refreshed leadership team to deliver streamlined, high-impact services across the municipality.

About the role

As part of this transformation, the Council is seeking a strategic and operationally focused leader to take on the role of Manager City Amenity. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the city’s public spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming — reflecting the pride and expectations of the community.

  • Strong contract management and financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to lead large operational teams and deliver high-quality public services.
  • A collaborative communicator with a focus on innovation and community outcomes.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
  • A current driver’s licence is essential.

This is an opportunity to lead a portfolio that directly shapes the daily experience of residents, businesses, and visitors in one of Melbourne’s most vibrant municipalities.
