The Position

Campaspe Shire Council is seeking a forward-thinking and influential Strategic Advocacy Lead to champion its advocacy agenda and secure vital funding for community priorities.

Reporting to the Manager Advocacy, Communications and Engagement, this newly created role will see the successful candidate working across the organisation to shape and deliver advocacy strategies that influence key decision-makers and attract government investment.

Overseeing the external grants program, the role requires political astuteness and will be responsible for guiding the preparation and submission of compelling funding applications. A Grants Acquisition Officer will report into this position and will play a key role in the preparation of grant submissions.

It will be essential to develop strategic relationships and collaborate with external stakeholders, including all tiers of government, local industry, and community groups. The successful candidate must be comfortable presenting to key audiences and engaging with executives.

The role can be remote but requires regular stakeholder engagement throughout the Campaspe region and Victoria.
