Mrs Catherine Murphy has been appointed to the position of Head of Middle School at Tintern Grammar and will commence in Term 1, 2025.
Catherine joins Tintern Grammar from Genazzano FCJ College with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in educational leadership, teaching and care for young people. Her passion for nurturing young minds and her commitment to care for students make her an exceptional addition to the school community. During her tenure at Genazzano, Catherine demonstrated an unwavering dedication to enhancing student academic outcomes and simultaneously promoting the wellbeing of students, in her current position as Head of Wellbeing, ELC-Year 12. Her innovative approach to middle school education and her focus on holistic development underpinned by care aligns with the forward strategy for Tintern Grammar. Catherine has also served as Acting Head of Senior School, Director of Sport, Co-curricular Coordinator, and several other leadership and service roles, both at Genazzano and other schools in Melbourne.
