The Brief

A government health agency was established to help the community stay safe and healthy and deliver a world-class health system that leads to better health outcomes for all.

The Elevate Leadership program aims to equip People Leaders in the agency with essential leadership skills and behaviours about how they can become more visible and effective leaders.

The Process

Future Leadership Advisory partnered with the the government health agency to design and deliver the Elevate Leadership Program. The program is built around three key leadership area of Leading self, Leading others and Leading the agency and provides a blended approach to learning. 

The program covers a range of leadership topics broken up onto learning modules (delivered virtually and face to face) and incorporates formal learning, facilitates networking amongst people leaders across the agency and on-the-job application.

The program consists of the following topics:

  • Me, My Role, My Leadership Style
  • How to care for Self and Others
  • How to build and lead high performing teams
  • How to be a good safety leader
  • How to lead an inclusive and constructive workplace culture
  • How to lead through change

The Outcome

The Elevate program has been rolled out to three cohorts. Participants have rated the learning modules as ‘impactful’, with 90% of participants agreeing the content and learning is applicable and useful to their work.

Participants have found the program very practical and valuable, particularly in learning how to contribute to a constructive culture and promote psychological safety.
