The Position
Peninsula Grammar seeking a visionary and innovative leader for the position of Head of Middle School. This executive leadership position is pivotal in driving academic excellence, fostering student growth and engagement, and shaping a strategic, sustainable future for the Peninsula Grammar community.
As a member of the School Executive, the Head of Middle School is responsible to the Principal for the leadership and management of the Middle School (currently Years 5 – 8), to ensure its programs across teaching and learning, co-curricular, wellbeing and administration perform effectively and in alignment with the School’s vision, mission, values, and strategic commitments.
As an educational leader, they will champion and sustain an outstanding learning culture across the Middle School, including delivering the Becoming Me Program, to develop students to become confident learners and responsible young people, and through applying best practice strategies across teaching and learning, pastoral care and wellbeing. As a leader, they will inspire staff to be leaders of learning and encourage a strong culture of innovation and collaboration in professional practice.
This Position of Responsibility provides FTE 0.8 Time Release and a B2 Allowance. The incumbent will be required to maintain a teaching load of FTE 0.2 and teach Year Levels and subject as determined by the School.
