As founder of Barber People since 2015, Peter built a respected practice partnering with executive HR professionals and commercial organisations to develop outstanding talent pipelines. His approach combines strategic insight with genuine commitment to long-term success, helping organisations thrive through their people while guiding leaders to unlock their full potential.
Peter‘s career spans the full spectrum of talent expertise. He launched the Melbourne office of a global boutique HR recruitment firm in 2008, and previously served as National Graduate Recruitment Manager at Blake Dawson (now Ashurst), strengthening the firm’s talent pipeline nationally.
What makes Peter distinctive is his foundation in law; admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of South Australia and Victoria. His early career as a solicitor with Minter Ellison and other top-tier firms provided invaluable experience in commercial practice and complex problem-solving that continues to inform his leadership advisory work.
Peter‘s particular passion lies in supporting executive HR leaders navigate their evolving profession. He understands the shifting expectations facing CHROs and People Leaders, from workforce transformation to strategic business partnership, and helps these leaders build clarity and confidence in increasingly central roles.
