Appointing James Koulouris as the new Chief Operating Officer at Barker College

Future Leadership is thrilled to announce the appointment of James Koulouris as the new Chief Operating Officer at Barker College.

James brings over 30 years of distinguished senior executive experience, having held leadership roles in complex, values-driven organizations.  His expertise spans strategic enablement, financial stewardship, governance, risk management, and operational excellence.  Throughout his career, James has demonstrated a remarkable ability to turn strategy into action, leading billion-dollar capital and asset programs, overseeing governance and risk functions, and fostering high-performing, purpose-driven teams and cultures.

James’s deep alignment with Barker College’s Christian ethos, mission, and motto, Honor Non Honores, makes him an ideal fit for this role.  His commitment to education as a transformative force for long-term community impact resonates strongly with the values of Barker College.  As COO, James will play a key role in supporting the Head of Barker College, the Council, and the School Executive in driving the school’s ambitious Master Plan, advancing STEM and Robotics innovation, championing Indigenous and Humanitarian Education initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the school.

With his extensive experience in leading large-scale infrastructure projects, modernizing enterprise systems, and building collaborative, people-centered cultures, James is well-equipped to contribute to Barker College’s continued growth and success.  His leadership style, grounded in integrity, transparency, and mentorship, will undoubtedly inspire and empower the Barker community.
