Future Leadership™ was engaged by a national member-based health association to appoint a General Manager, Finance and Corporate Services.
This critical executive leadership role was designed to provide strategic leadership across the organisation’s corporate, financial and enabling functions, ensuring strong financial stewardship, governance and contemporary operational systems to support delivery of their Strategy: Towards 2030.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager would oversee a broad portfolio including finance, technology and digital systems, procurement and facilities, member support, commercial operations and audit functions. The appointee would also play a central role in enterprise-wide transformation, leading the modernisation of corporate systems and financial models, including CRM renewal, data and analytics uplift, automation and the integration of emerging technologies.
The role required a contemporary executive capable of balancing strategic oversight with operational excellence, while supporting organisational sustainability, performance and member value in a complex, service-oriented environment.

The search focused on executives with demonstrated experience in financial stewardship, enterprise leadership, governance and large-scale transformation, including digital and systems modernisation.
Candidate Assessment:
Candidates were assessed against the core requirements of the role, including executive leadership capability, experience advising Boards and CEOs, and the ability to deliver transformation across finance, technology and corporate services.
Final Evaluation:
Final candidates demonstrated their capacity to lead enterprise-wide transformation and drive long-term organisational sustainability, including experience with financial modelling, governance frameworks and operational capability uplift. Four candidates were selected to go to panel interviews.

Their experience advising Boards and Executive teams, alongside leading multidisciplinary corporate services functions, positioned them to deliver on the organisations priorities of financial sustainability, operational excellence and digital capability uplift.
