Future Leadership™ was engaged by a sports coaching organisation, seeking an inaugural General Manager of Marketing, Sales and Communications to support the growth of their multi-sports coaching and athlete development program. This appointment heralds the start of an exciting next chapter for the organisation and will work closely with the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer.

- Engaged with the Chief Executive Officer to understand the role’s strategic priorities and challenges.
- Leveraged extensive networks, advertising campaign, and referrals] to identify professional, dynamic and values driven candidates who will be energised and driven by the opportunity to take the initiative forward and support the investment in scaling as a fully-fledged highly impactful organisation.
- Six candidates were shortlisted, with four who progressed to panel interviews.
- The final candidate presented over 18 years of expertise as a versatile and results-driven professional.
- This rigorous process ensured the appointment of a candidate capable to play a key role in engaging and influencing stakeholders across sporting sectors and national jurisdictions.
The Outcome
Starting in the role in early 2025, the successful candidate comes with experience extending across areas of sports management, sponsorship and commercial sales, strategic development, sports branding, c-suite stakeholders and relationships, sports marketing, and brand activation management. With industry experience including Cricket, Australian Football League (AFL & AFLW), Motorsports, Horse & Greyhound Racing, as well as Professional Golf Tournaments.
