housing for purpose.

The Brief

In mid-2023, a prominent social services organisation reached out to Future Leadership to assist with the confidential recruitment of a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

The outgoing CCO was highly respected, and the organisation needed a successor who could effectively lead all commercial and investment aspects of the enterprise. With over 400 staff and a turnover exceeding $100 million, the organisation supports some of the most vulnerable members of the community, providing a range of services to help everyone thrive.

The Process

A comprehensive briefing was conducted to outline the key responsibilities for the incoming Chief Commercial Officer. Future Leadership went to market through a targeted advertising campaign and strategic search.

The lead consultant conducted preliminary interviews with selected candidates who aligned with the role’s requirements. A shortlist of two candidates was presented, both of whom underwent psychometric assessments. The results were reviewed by Future Leadership’s in-house psychologist and discussed with the panel.

Two rounds of panel interviews were hosted by Future Leadership, and the successful candidate commenced the role in December 2023. The appointed CCO brought over 35 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a background spanning private practice, education, research, general business management, and the not-for-profit sectors, including social, affordable, and disability housing.
