The Brief

A leading independent co-educational school partnered with Future Leadership to design a holistic Learn to Lead program aimed at delivering a strategic roadmap for leadership development.

The school’s Executive committed to providing opportunities for current and aspirant leaders through three interconnected modules – Aspire, Achieve, and Amplify. Masterclasses complemented the program with sessions on financial acumen, human resources, industrial relations, and enhancing leadership visibility.

The Process

Future Leadership designed a comprehensive two-phase program, delivered in a hybrid format. The program involved personal profile assessments, in-person workshops, online coaching circles, and hybrid masterclasses. A total of 38 leaders at all levels across the school self-nominated to participate. The program focused on three key areas:

  • Leading Self: Understanding personal values, communication styles, leadership, and management insights.
  • Leading Others: Developing emotional intelligence, psychological safety, feedback, critical conversations, and leading through change.
  • Leading the Organisation: Taking a broader view to influence and cultivate a healthy, productive culture across the school and community.

The Outcome

Participants reported improvements in self-awareness, motivation, role clarity, and overall confidence. The team reflected positively on the program’s practical and insightful approach to leadership.

Feedback showed participants thoroughly enjoyed the program, noting that it accelerated their team development and provided valuable personal and leadership insights.
