- Lead a flagship NSW private hospital portfolio across 3 sites in metro and regional contexts
- Executive leadership of a large, complex and high‑accountability health portfolio
- Drive “Bringing Care Home” through new models, capability uplift and system integration
The Position
St Vincent’s Health Australia is seeking to appoint an accomplished and values‑led executive to the role of Chief Executive Officer – NSW Private Hospitals. This is a pivotal leadership appointment with responsibility for one of SVHA’s most significant private healthcare portfolios, working collaboratively at the intersection of private hospitals, public health partners and emerging at‑home and community‑based models of care.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Private Hospitals Division, the CEO NSW Private Hospitals provides strategic, commercial, operational and cultural leadership across a diverse and complex portfolio. The role carries a strong mandate for accountability and transformation, requiring the ability to translate strategy into disciplined execution while leading a high performing team confidently through change.
Central to the role is leadership of the NSW portfolio’s contribution to “Bringing Care Home”, embedding new care pathways, at‑home models and closer integration with public and community services. The CEO will drive capability uplift across leaders, clinicians and teams to support digital care, cross‑sector collaboration and new ways of working, while establishing clear decision rights, escalation pathways and ownership across the system. Creating and sustaining a high‑performance, accountable culture, where expectations are explicit and outcomes are actively monitored, will be critical to success.
This opportunity will appeal to a senior private healthcare executive recognised for combining strategic clarity with operational discipline, able to lead complex services at scale and across multiple sites while remaining grounded in mission‑led leadership and patient‑centred care.
