The Position
Firbank Grammar School seeks to appoint an energetic and visionary leader to join as Head of Sandringham House Campus. Reporting directly to the Principal and as a member of the School Leadership Team, the Head of Sandringham Campus will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic development of a campus renowned for its inclusive culture, specialist facilities, and commitment to curiosity, student wellbeing and learning.
The Head of Sandringham Campus will play a key role in a period of transition and growth for the campus, working collaboratively with the leadership team to build enrolments, enhance programmes, and support the evolving vision for education at the Sandringham Campus of Firbank Grammar. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring staff and students, contributing to and implementing the School’s Strategic Plan, and fostering a learning environment where every child is encouraged to be their best. With high energy, professionalism, and strong presentation skills, the Head of Sandringham Campus will champion innovation and continuous improvement, supporting staff to deliver best practice in teaching and learning.
This pivotal role calls for a leader, who brings courage, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to the task of shaping the future of the campus. The ideal appointee will demonstrate a readiness to take ownership of growth opportunities, and a deep understanding of the ethos of independent schools and early learning. A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the wellbeing of students and staff is essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and to champion optimising the campus within the broader Firbank community.
The Organisation
Firbank Grammar School was established by Bishop Henry Lowther Clarke in 1909. Today it caters for approximately 1200 students across 3 campuses. Year 7-12 girls at Brighton Senior School campus, ELC – Year 6 girls at Brighton Turner House campus and ELC – Year 6 coeducational at Sandringham House Campus. The community is enriched by boarders who join the Brighton Senior School campus from rural areas and overseas.
